Tonight I was getting Kellen ready for bed (he still wears a diaper at night). He said to me, "Do you want to see my booty??!"
I said, "Yes, I do -- it sure is bony!!"
Kellen: "Yeah! But I don't have any bones in my penis."
Me: "You don't?"
Kellen: "Nope. It's squishy!"
LOL.:)

Trip to Pullman/Spokane
These 2 posts (Pullman/Easter) are out of order, oops!
Look how tiny the kids look next to the huge library!

So tired...:)
At Sunnyside park
Last weekend we took a trip over to Pullman/Spokane. It was a BLAST! We had decent weather, meaning it didn't rain. It was NOT warm, though, & it was WINDY! Good ol' Pullman...I can't believe that I hadn't been there in 10 years!! We stayed with the Barries, who I used to babysit for (their oldest daughter just got married!), & it was so fun to catch up!!! If you are looking for an AMAZING photographer, check out Scott's website: www.creativeimageportraits.com He is SO creative.
Sat. we got up & went to campus to check out the new CUB & Bookie! We walked around a little bit, but it was pretty cold for the kids. So then we went to lunch at Sella's - oh yeah!:) After lunch we drove around a little bit (Erik wanted to see the new golf course), & tried to go to Ferdinand's, which is CLOSED on weekends! Boo. We drove to find another ice cream place, but the kids ended up falling asleep.:) So we went to the park, & when they woke up we went to see the animals. Then it was off to dinner at the Spangenberg's, another family I used to babysit for. It was great catching up with them, & seeing 3 of their 4 kids!! Love this family.:)
Then, home to bed...a 30 min. nap kept the 2 oldest up until 11:00 p.m. (ugh), & Kaarin woke up twice crying, so she ended up in bed with us since her room was right below Scott & Laurie's. She actually slept fine once she was with us...we were up early the next morning to go to church, pack up our stuff, & head to Spokane!! Most of my friends from WSU are gone from Pullman, obviously, but many have settled in Spokane! We had a great lunch & visit with them, though it was way too short!!!! Definitely already planning the next trip back!!:)
On our way back through Ellensburg, we stopped to have dinner with Erik's cousin & family. That was fun for us, & for the kids -- a much better way to stretch their legs than at McD's with a play area outside...but also easy to lose track of time, so next thing you know, we arrived home at 1:00 a.m.!:) The kids had fallen asleep in the car, & transferred to their beds just fine, so they were o.k. the next day.:) We have all recovered now. Can't wait to go back!!

We've All Had Enough...
The last time I tried to post with 'paragraphs,' my blog seemed to run in just one long paragraph...so we'll see what happens here.
We are having a terrible spring so far. RAINY. COLD. Even the sunny days are barely warm. About 3 weeks ago Kellen & Annika were in their room right before nap time. I was in my room, listening.:) This is what I heard (well, as best I can remember it word-for-word):
Kellen: "God, stop the rain! Stop the rain, God!"
Annika: "He can't hear you."
Kellen: "Yes He can, Annika!! He can hear everything! He can even hear you when you're not talking!"
Annika: "I know." (LOL)
Kellen: "And you know what, Annika? Jesus lives in my heart! He lives there because I asked Him to! That's what you have to do, Annika. You have to ask Him to live in your heart."
Annika: "I want God to live in my heart!"
Kellen: "Then you have to ask Him, Annika. I'll say it first & then you say it after me, o.k.? It goes like this: 'Jesus.' Now you say 'Jesus.'
Annika: "Jesus."
Kellen: "Come."
Annika: "Come."
Kellen: "Live."
Annika: "Live."
Kellen: "In."
Annika: "In."
Kellen: "My."
Annika: "My."
Kellen: "Heart!"
Annika: "Heart!"
Kellen: "And that's it, Annika! Now He lives in your heart too!"
Rejoicing with my boy & girl...:)
Really, I sometimes think that kids have a purer understanding (no, I don't think, I KNOW) of God & all He has done for us. Kids are in AWE of the world around them, so it is easy for them to believe in God & that He is MARVELOUS! Their faith is so simple, & we try to make ours so complicated. Another funny happened this week. Kellen told me after school one day: "Mommy, when we were doing the pledge of allegiance at school, I could feel my heart moving!" I said to him, "Maybe it was Jesus!" And he said, "Yeah! Maybe He was trying to get out." Hee hee.:) Which then gave me the opportunity to tell him that now that Jesus is in his heart, He will never leave! Kellen said, "He leaves when we don't love God & aren't nice to people." No, sweetie - He doesn't leave, he just waits for us to apologize.

Farm Fun
Checking out the chickens
Here are a few pictures from our trips to the farm. It has been great fun, & we are learning some different recipes to use our produce! I am hoping to do the summer share, too, but need to inquire about how much food it is. Sometimes it is too much for us to use in a week. But mostly because I need to learn more recipes.:)
