We were lucky enough to go to the Puyallup Fair 3 times this year!! The kids (+Aaron) & I went on the first day, we went the first Sunday, & then we went back on a Thurs. evening. We thought it would be fun to take the kids at night for the first time. It was fun, but SUCH a late night!!! We didn't leave the Fair until 10:45 p.m.!!!!!!!! Annika & Kaarin were really into rides this year. :) They rode the swings & the roller coaster together, but it was hard to get pics of them in action! They also rode the giant slide & the canoes. :) Everyone rode the train, & Kellen got to choose a couple of games to play. Fun times!

San Juan County Fair

In August the kids & I went up to Lopez Island for 10 days -- quite possibly the hottest days of the summer! It was fantastic. All the cousins were there for the first weekend, & they had a blast together. It was so fun. :) Kellen was SO sad when they went home. :( Erik came up for both the weekends. The kids & I went over to Friday Harbor for the San Juan County Fair, where we met up with my friend from college, Koshi. It was So. HOT. that day, but overall we had fun. :) I think the kids were ready to move up to the island permanently...well, only if their cousins could do the same!!

Me & Linda!

My friend, Linda, & I met on a mission trip to Venezuela in 1992 (gasp!). We have been blessed over the years to get to visit more than we would have expected, especially since she is from Canada!! We attended each other's weddings (she was my beautiful singer, if you were at my wedding!) & have had other visits along the way. Recently her husband was attending a conference in Seattle, so we had a chance to get together at the Seattle Children's Museum -- this was the first time we have met each other's children...last time we got together she was pregnant with her first. It was so fun to have a chance to spend time together!!!!
