Mother's Tea

In Kellen's class, we got to have a Mother's Tea! The kids all brought their moms a rose, then they sang some songs as a class. This is the first time in 3 years of pre-school that Kellen has sung the songs!! Yay!! He was SO cute!

Mother's Luau

Every year in Ms. Karen & Ms. Karen's class the moms get to attend a luau! It was fun! The kids came in & sang some songs, then we had lunch together. :) This is the first time I have gone to school with Annika.

Ocean Shores

I don't think we've ever taken the kids to Ocean Shores! After our visit to our friends in Vesta, we decided to head to the coast overnight. It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend & we had a GREAT time!!

Kid Funnies

Here are the latest funnies:

• Annika, at her Mother's Luau at school, in the bathroom: "I love mirrors so I can look in them & see how pretty I am." :)
• Kaarin, singing: "If you're happy in your nose, clap your hands..."
• Annika: "When I am a Mommy I am going to have more kids than you. I am going to have 6!"
• Annika, when I asked her to go to the bathroom before bed, "Why?" Me: "Because I am tired of waking up with you in the middle of the night to change your wet sheets." Annika: "Well, when I am a Mommy I will do that & I will be happy."
• Kaarin: Pulls down her shirt to reveal her chest, "Look, Mommy, these are bigger!"
• While at Ocean Shores, as we are driving, Kaarin says, "I see Red Robin!" (not really)
• Our cousin spent the night the other night, & 3 of them were in the bathroom at bedtime. I hear Annika say, "Can I see your penis?" Then she says, "Whoa, it's really long!" LOL!!!
• Kaarin, while picking out her clothes in the morning: "These are my choices - this dress or this dress!"
• While in California, Kaarin said, "Mommy, this is not our home. Our home is rainy."
• Also in California, Kaarin was in the pool & stepped off the step & went under the water. I pulled her out, but she was scared. She said, "Underwater is not good!"

I guess it's just Annika & Kaarin funnies for now...I know Kellen has some, I guess I need to find that paper!

Vesta, WA

Have you ever heard of the town of Vesta, WA? You've probably driven by it. How about Cosmopolis? Aberdeen? That's right in the area. Recently a couple from our church moved down to Vesta with their 4 kids as a part of Village Missions, which places pastors in rural communities that are either without a church or the church is not thriving. They have been down there for about 2.5 months now, & our small group recently went to visit & help them out a little bit! We were partly there to help with an outreach program, but we also helped them get their house set up a bit! It was so much fun.:) Here are a few pictures:

We have a little friend who comes to our house every Friday, & some other days too. He is about 16 months younger than Kaarin, so he fits right in to our mix.:) And Kaarin loves having someone younger to 'boss' around.:) Here are a few pictures:

California trip

O.K., finally a few of the highlights from our California trip, & a few photos!

• Sun! Sun! Sun! THAT is why we went, & it didn't disappoint!!
• Fun times with both sets of grandparents! O.K., that is really the reason we went.;)

• 3 days without kids in Santa Monica!
